These meatballs come together lickity split and provide the right amount of hearty "meatiness" that you want out of a spaghetti dinner. The base of these meatballs are made with chickpeas, walnuts, and oats, fresh onion and garlic to add a punch of flavor, and seasonings that you might find in a traditional recipe. It's a great way to add some good plant-based protein to your meal, too!Read More

I've never met a cake pop I didn't like. What's not to love? They are deliciously moist, easy to eat, and just plain adorable! I have eaten my fair share of cake pops but I had never actually made them until recently. I know....gasp! With Easter right around the corner I wanted to practice making a sweet treat that I can bring to share with my family. These were the perfect, yummy hit!Read More
Well folks, we have reached the point in time where we are starting to feed Rhys solids. There are so many different opinions about the right time to introduce solids to babies and I truly think it's a little different with every baby. We waited until a week before Rhys turned 6 months old to start introducing any foods other than breastmilk and the little bit of formula we are using to supplement at bedtime. I knew I wanted to wait until about 6 months to start introducing food to him.Read More
I'm getting back to my roots. My soup roots, that is! Speaking of roots, spring is almost here!! Even though it's currently in the low 40's and it snowed yesterday (major eye roll), there are flower bulbs popping out of the ground in my yard and we have had glimpses of warm spring air. It makes my heart happy.Read More
Baked oatmeal is totally underrated. It's so easy and yummy and just all around awesome. It can be a breakfast, snack, or dessert, and can easily be prepped ahead of time and heated up right before serving. Since making this, I have eaten it for breakfast in the morning....as an afternoon snack....and as an after dinner treat, topped with my favorite cashew milk ice cream. YUM!Read More

Today is the official launch of my new and improved website, business, and rebrand! This has felt like a long time coming. If you have been reading here for a while, you know that I made recipes and shared blog posts as a side hobby. I worked a full time job and did my blog on the side because I love creating and sharing recipes and connecting with amazing people like YOU! But now, I am 100% on my own and couldn't be more excited to share more, connect more, inspire, and be inspired.Read More
Did you eat raw cookie dough growing up? I did!! It's not like my parents encouraged me to eat cookie dough with raw egg, but a little sneak of cookie dough here and there never hurt anyone, right? I distinctly remember my freshman year of college I bought a roll of Tollhouse cookie dough and brought it back to my dorm room, with the sole intention of eating it raw straight from the tube. Because that's what you do as a freshman in college, duh.Read More
Soups are hands down my favorite thing to make. They are easy, can be packed with nourishing ingredients, and can develop a really deep, complex flavor. Oftentimes soup is better the second or third day once the flavors have had a chance to meld together. That is...if it lasts until the second or third day (insert gritted teeth emoji + upside down smile emoji).Read More
You guys. Rhys turned 4 months old on January 6th! He is 1/3 of a year old. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! I know they are supposed to grow and get bigger but oh my goodness, time is flying. He doesn't feel like a new, fragile baby anymore! I'm equal parts sad because part of me misses the squishy newborn stage, and equal parts excited because it's so much fun to see him grow and develop.Read More

Well hi there! It's been a while. A little over a year to be exact! Unless you follow me on Instagram it probably seemed like I dropped off the face of the planet. No explanation, no blog updates, how rude of me!
