Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by Whole Living Lauren! Whew, this is a big step for me. I have been talking about starting a blog for a long time...and thinking about it for even longer. I have been reading and admiring foodie blogs for the past few years and am excited to FINALLY have a little one of my own.
Since I am the new girl in town with this whole blog thing I should probably tell you a little about myself. I am a Registered Dietitian and most days a wanna-be chef. I have a thing for plants. I like them a lot. I also like long walks on the beach, pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain. Kidding. Although I do really like all of those things...except getting caught in the rain. I prefer to be prepared with an umbrella most of the time ;)
I have always loved food. As a child, most of my favorite books were ones with vivid pictures of food in them. I really liked the stories and all, but I really LOVED the pictures of food. Is that weird? Don't answer that. I also remember being extremely overly excited when my parents got me an Easy Bake Oven one year for Christmas (but seriously, who isn't pumped about that!?). I made a mean batch of brownies in that thing...just saying. I don't think it was a surprise to anyone that I chose for my career to be centered around food.
So today, I am starting a blog. I'll be here to talk about health, tips, recipes, and all things delicious! I hope to inspire you all to embrace your inner foodies and get a little planty in the kitchen. Special shout out to my wonderful husband for pushing and encouraging me to start this blog. Also huge thanks to my friend Lily Schlosser for dealing with a million questions from me about how to start a blog and helping me actually take the plunge.
